President and Principal Geotechnical Engineer & Engineering Geologist
Since the mid-1980’s, Mr. Ferrone has been providing geotechnical engineering and engineering geology consulting services for private and public clients, including cities and counties, throughout California and western Nevada. Mr. Ferrone specializes in the development of complex unimproved lands, as well as modifications to existing projects and forensic evaluations. Because Mr. Ferrone is licensed as a Civil Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, and Engineering Geologist, clients and project team members can be confident that all ground and subsurface conditions are properly identified and addressed in the design and construction of their projects. Mr. Ferrone is focused on finding the most cost-effective solutions for the highest quality results. Mr. Ferrone serves as a highly-respected expert in design and construction related disputes, and uses his forensic experience to continually advance SFB’s practice for the benefit of new projects. As President of SFB, Mr. Ferrone strives to improve efficiency in all company matters while fostering corporate culture on the core value that the client’s need always comes first.
Jonathan Bailey, PE, GE, QSD
Vice President and Principal Civil/Geotechnical Engineer
Since the late 1980’s, Mr. Bailey has provided civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering consulting services for public and private clients in California, Nevada, Oregon and Guam. His responsibilities include managing site investigations, laboratory analysis programs, engineering analyses and design, construction observation and testing, materials testing, forensic investigation and analysis, storm water management permitting and compliance monitoring, and regulatory agency coordination. Mr. Bailey specializes in storm water management and erosion/sediment control for construction projects, is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), State of California Qualified SWPPP Developer, Practitioner and Trainer of Record (QSD/QSP/TOR), a LEED accredited professional (LEED AP), and provides storm water management training for private clients and public agencies. Mr. Bailey is the firm’s Responsible Engineer in charge of special inspection and construction materials testing.
